Hello girls!!! How are you? I hope all of you are fine. The topic of the blog today is the colour blue.
From Uma Thurman and Reese Witherspoon to the Duchess of Cambridge, the electric shade is the season's coolest way to make an impression...
Perhaps it is the current vogue for all things Eighties. Or maybe it was Kate Middleton's Issa engagement dress. But red carpets this summer have been awash with royal blue.
The bright colour was a major trend on the catwalks last year, and now that the collections have filtered through to store, the A-list have never been more inspired.
It is not surprising the colour has become so popular - only that it has not happened sooner. Cobalt flatters all skin tones, and can be teamed with both neutrals and other brights.
It works better with black than navy, for example, but can also be teamed with other neutrals such as nude and tan.
Ms Witherspoon made the most of her corseted Stella McCartney dress with leg-lengthening nude peep-toe platforms, as does the Duchess of Cambridge, who has, unsurprisingly, been a fan of royal blue for some time. She also regularly teams the hue with black accessories.
Bolder girls could follow the lead of Miss Lively, who wore purple Christian Louboutin heels with both her bright dresses.
Metallics are another popular counter-colour for the electric hue. In fact, it's a hard colour to look bad in!!!
Thanks for reading, see you tomorrow! Have a wonderful day!
